Free search engines, pay per click search engines, publishing articles, using press releases, doing joint ventures/ad co-ops, and posting to message boards and forums pertaining to your target market are some of the finest ways to advertise and get the word out about your business online.
Off-line advertising, on the other hand, is a marketing strategy that most online marketers overlook.
There are a number of low-cost or no-cost options to advertise offline, and I’d like to share three with you.

Off-line advertising, on the other hand, is a marketing strategy that most online marketers overlook.

1) Printed business cards
You must have business cards if you are serious about your business. They’re inexpensive and a terrific approach to entice potential clients or customers. Simply pass them out to anyone you think might be interested in your company.
I also place my business cards in all of the restroom stalls anytime I go to a restaurant, bar, or club. (Of course, make sure no one is inside… lol!)
And don’t you dare to laugh at this! It is quite effective. I’ll find that all of my business cards are gone when I go to the restroom an hour or two later, and I’ll have a fresh new set of sales the next day.
2) Posters
Flyers are incredibly simple to manufacture using today’s technology. You can easily create a flyer online and then print and distribute it. Then you can put them up in places where you think your target clients frequent. (Just make sure you have the owner’s permission beforehand.)
Alternatively, hand out your flyers to strangers on the street. Many bars and clubs don’t mind if you leave fliers in their facilities, especially if you’re a regular.
Also, don’t overlook supermarkets! Many places, at least here in New Jersey where I live, have bulletin boards where you can put your flyer. Every day, hundreds of individuals enter supermarkets with the intention of purchasing something. Use it to your advantage and post your flyers frequently.
3) Automobile Promotion
What do you mean…? Yes, you read that correctly. Your car is not just a means of transportation, but also a powerful marketing tool. You can display your company name and/or domain name on your car with magnetic signage or plates.
Whether your car is parked, you are driving, or you are stopped in traffic, your business might be exposed to hundreds, if not thousands, of people every day. It’s a relatively low-cost method of “driving” your point home.
10 Timeless E-zine Marketing Hints
- Be specific with your advertising.
The more tailored the e-zine is for your offer, the higher the reaction to your tested ad will be.
- Keep track of your adverts.
Don’t rely on guessing when it comes to your ad efforts. Ad tracking will show you which e-zines and advertisements are the most profitable.
- Place your ad in several publications.
You’ll get a better response and possibly save money because many sites provide bulk advertising discounts.
- Give your headline a lot of thought.
An effective headline will successfully capture the attention of your reader and target your intended audience.
People will read the rest of your ad because of your winning title, which will result in more traffic and sales.
- Don’t rely on your ad to sell your product.
Write your adverts to pique people’s attention and encourage them to visit your website.
From here, your effective sales page will do the selling for you, and you’ll be able to persuade them to sign up for your e-zine or mailing list so you can follow up with them successfully.
- Don’t make your headline all capitals.
You’ll come off as though you’re screaming at the reader, and your ad will appear amateurish.
- Include a “call to action” in your message.
Include a call to action at the end of your e-zine adverts that tells your reader what you want them to do next (i.e., visit your site or subscribe to your e-zine).
- Don’t make your ad cute or funny.
You might put your reader in a good mood, but don’t expect additional visits to your site or sales as a result.
- Make a freebie offer.
Offer a free eBook, sample chapter, or trial as a reward for visiting your site.
- Check through the archives of the e-zines you’d want to advertise in or subscribe to them.
You’ll be able to examine the quality of the content supplied, how many advertisements are published in each issue, and you’ll get a decent indication of the things that those readers are interested in based on the advertisements that are being run.
